Tessie’s Room |
|
Pine and metal furniture, a reproduction campaign desk, and paintings of bluebonnets, the Texas state flower, make this room a relaxing haven. A beautiful handmade quilt adorns the bed, a reflection of the beautiful quilting and handwork that gentle Tessie made through the years. Tessie was born in the early 1900’s. Her sweet and patient nature brought a sense of calm in her presence. Her inclusion of family extended beyond the immediate family and making a large circle of friends and extended family feel welcome in her life. Her little sister Evalina was an ever present friend for all of her years and Tessie was always looking out for her. The adjoining room is aptly named for her. Bound by the unbreakable bond of sisterhood, these two Texas sisters never lived more than a few miles from each other for all of their hundred plus years. Their small town fostered close family ties and a strong sense of community. Enjoy the back lawn, a small terrace patio, and direct access to wooded trails by the use of your private patio door. An adjoining sitting room makes a lovely semi-private space to relax. Or, reserve this room with Evalina’s Room for a large private three room suite. Amenities: • King bed with Premium Mattress Evalina and Tessies rooms may be taken together to include the private use of the adjoining sitting room. This three room suite can accommodate up to 6 people by converting the loveseats into twin beds made up with memory foam type mattresses, blankets, quilts and pillows for a comfortable stay. There is an additional fee for the extra occupancy. |
