Popular with both teenagers and 20-somethings for years, T-shirt quilts are also a great way to recognize achievements or lifelong passions. We’ve seen quilts to mark an athletic career, to express a passion for motorcycles or cars or a specific career, and quilts that honor/memorialize a loved one.
T-shirt quilts make a great high school graduation gift. What teenager doesn’t have t-shirts from sports or hobbies or school events? The general skills you’ll learn in this class will show you how to take those shirts and create a dorm-sized quilt that they can take off to school with them – it’s the next best thing to taking your loved ones with you!
Fran brings her Elna press to the Inn for classes. This really simplifies applying the fusible interfacing on the back of the t-shirts and is what gives your quilt a more finished and professional look. So whatever type of t-shirt quilt you’re interested in making, Fran’s going to help us get it done!
