LeightonLeighton McAllister
Head Groundskeeper & Assistant Farm Manager

Having years of experience in lawn maintenance, Leighton is responsible for tending our 40 acres of woods, meadows, and gardens. His first year with us was spent establishing the landscaping and lawns around the Inn for the enjoyment of guests and butterflies alike. He maintains the wooded hiking trails crossing the ridge. His attention is now turned to developing our various programs on the farm. Leighton is implementing practices of sustainable agriculture. You will soon see the results of our farm development plan in meadows of wildflowers, a secluded lavender field, as well as herb and vegetable gardens. He is also developing a plan for our fiber animal livestock. Since Butterfly Meadows Inn and Farm is a haven for artisans and crafters, his plan is to add heritage breeds of sheep, cashmere or angora goats and alpacas, so that guests can experience firsthand the process of fiber production. Leighton attends college locally and enjoys spending time with family & friends.

Sandra Amstutz
Assistant Innkeeper and Marketing Assistant

Fresh from Abilene Christian University with a degree in Electronic Media, Sandra joined our team in early 2012. She uses her love of design and social networking to help maintain the Inn’s online presence. Sandra also works closely with Darlene on advertising for the Inn. She is often helping out wherever she can by taking reservations, serving meals, and assisting guests. She loves playing her part in creating the Inn’s peaceful atmosphere almost as much as she loves the gorgeous golden sunsets she gets to see every day at work. After living in Texas her whole life, Sandra moved to Nashville for an exciting change of pace. In her free time she enjoys watching and making films, going to stand-up comedy shows, and growing her skills as a photographer.
